When you leave you can transfer your domain and/or migrate your web content that you have created on the UMW Domain’s web hosting to a new web host or make a back-up of your content. If you plan on keeping your domain and content up on the web by transferring it to a new web host this will cost money. Typically the cost of the domain is a yearly fee while cost of web hosting is a monthly or yearly fee.
If you’d like more explanation about the difference between your domain, website, and web hosting please see our “Getting to know your web space” guide.

If you don't want to keep your domain or your content, you can remove everything you've created manually or wait for the 90 day grace period to elapse. Your content on our servers will be removed after 90 days and your domain set to not renew.
The easiest thing to do if you don't want to keep all of your content is to remove what you don't want prior to migrating.
NOTE: Please backup your entire site and download the backup prior to making any changes! You can access a tool to generate and download a backup of your entire account by logging into UMW Domains and going to Manage Your Account -> Migration Information.
Next we will talk about choosing web hosting.

NOTE: You don't have to actively request removal. After 90 days your content will be removed from our servers and your domain set to cancel.
